PRESS RELEASE FOR INAUGURAL CEREMONY OF COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS CO-PRODUCTION AT
PAKISTAN AERONAUTICAL COMPLEX (PAC), KAMRA

A simple but impressive ceremony was held today at PAC Kamra to inaugurate the co-production of commercial products such as Android Tablets, eBooks, Notebooks, Industrial Computers, Industrial TFT Displays etc at Avionics Production Factory of PAC Kamra. For the Joint Production of JF-17, PAF had established sufficient facilities which are appropriate for the production of both Defence and Commercial products. Chairman PAC Air Marshal Farhat Hussain Khan therefore decided to optimally utilize the facilities and resources of PAC to contribute in strengthening the national economy through commercialization. In order to achieve viability both technically as well as commercially, PAC has commenced the co-production in collaboration with Hong Kong based company – INNAVTEK International (H.K.) Ltd. This company has already established itself as one of the main partners of PAF in co-development / production of the avionics products.
The co-production of advanced electronics products in Kamra Avionics Production Factory is yet another milestone in the Sino-Pak Cooperation which shall pave the way for such co-operations even in the private sector and strengthen the industrial base in the country.
Chairman PAC, Principal Staff Officers from the Defence production, President, Director and representatives of INNAVTEK and representatives from the Commercial sector attended the ceremony.
General Shahid Secretary of Defence was the chief guest on this historical occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Secretary of Defence stated that Pakistan is a peace loving country and wants to maintain peaceful relations with international community specially our neighbors. However it stands determined to safeguard the national interests and uphold its sovereignty against any aggressor. Strengthening of national economy through optimal utilization of in country available resources and developing experts for supporting industrialization is an essential step in the same direction.
Secretary Defence highlighted the significance of the occasion by saying that the world is becoming competitive day by day and hence any step to optimal utilization of the available resources undoubtedly contributes to building of the nation. While appreciating vision of the Chairman PAC Kamra and the contributions of INNAVTEK, he stated that co-production of commercial products at PAC Kamra will open doors of greater opportunities for exploring the newer technologies in collaboration with highly qualified academia, experts of INNAVTEK and PAC, which will eventually help us achieve the ultimate objectives of building up totally indigenous Defence and commercial industries. He commended the management, airmen and civilians of PAC for their devotion and dedication towards this project of national importance and urged them to continue this journey of self reliance with same zeal and zest.
Earlier, Chairman Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Karma, Air Marshal Farhat Hussain Khan, presented an appraisal of the program activities. He informed that generic production and testing facilities have been established at Avionics Production Factory where, besides the Chinese avionics, four indigenously designed and developed avionics systems are also being produced. He also informed that the production scope of the commercial products would be further broadened progressively.
